Family Time!

My parents came to visit a few weekends ago and we went to see my Grandmother, Taleta Mabry, who lives in a nursing home in Friona. She will be 94 this fall. She was in good spirits and even drank a milkshake from Sonic. She has dementia and doesn't really know who we are, but I think she realized that we belong to her and I KNOW she enjoyed seeing Avery. It seems that knowing how to interact with a child is something you never forget how to do.

My sister Leslie and her family came for the 4th of July. The kids loved riding in our good ole' fashioned small-town-America Parade on the Gator and throwing candy. Leslie and I were somehow distracted and didn't get any good pictures of them as they passed in front of us at the parade, but we got some shots while they were getting ready and waiting for the parade to start.

One day Gabe, Uncle Iz, and Caleb went 4-wheeling at Mackenzie Lake. It's some pretty rough terrain, from what we hear, and it seems they went mostly on trails cut out for professionals. Thank God there were no injuries to speak of!

How sweet is your grandmother! Don't you just love those small town parades? I am excited for ya'll to move here although I know it is bittersweet leaving your friends. Everyone loves the Moudy's and want to live as close to them as possible!!!
