Our family had a great last-minute Labor Day weekend in the mountains of northern New Mexico. We hopped in the car Saturday morning and went to Angel Fire, where we stayed in a hotel and spent our days driving to other towns and enjoying the cool mountains. It was a fun way to be together and get away from all of our house buying/selling stuff before we start our move and things get crazy.

A lake at Red River

You can rent these bicycle Surreys and we had so much fun, but after 1/2 hour we were ready to return ours!! HARD WORK!

Red River

At Angel Fire, we rode up on the ski lift to the peak and there are hiking trails and a restaurant up there. We hiked around for a while, but discovered that a 4 year old's idea of hiking at 10,000 ft. is not the same as ours, so we didn't have quite the adventure we had planned, but it was still fun! The ski-lift ride was the favorite part of the trip for all 3 of us.

At the peak

At the peak there was this little "chapel". The sign said, "Summit Chapel, Sunday Service 1:30." That's not when we were up there, so we didn't get to attend services, but we thought it was funny anyway.

Our Hike

This is how it was most of the time
