Western Day

Yesterday was Western Day at Sonshine School. Avery wore, for the 2nd year, her Daddy's chaps and vest, from when he was a little boy. NO ONE else at school had anything like these - so Avery was pretty special. They each got to ride a horse and Avery had a lot of fun. If we'd have been planning ahead and thinking, Gabe could have taken our calf Blackie up there for the kids to pet - oh well - maybe next year. I have written several postings all today, so make sure to read on after these photos!

What a cute little cowgirl! I especially love the last pic. I think I'll have to print a few of these out. :)

Is this the same hat that the Snow Girl wore? How is your Backyard Ranch coming along?

It's so tragedy that you didn't get to post about the calves Blackie, Alligator, Crocodile, and Susie before Alligator and Susie passed on. Looking forward to Avery's program next week!!!

Two of the calves died?? Or did they just pass on to another earthly home?

Not DIED. Avery told me they "passed away." Isn't that hysterical? She also says "Good Grief!" and calls people (me anyway) "honey". We had a fabulous overnight together Friday. She asked me if there were any chores we could do, so we made ice, fried chicken, gathered trash, and shined the bathroom. She's a very fun guest.
